NBA DFS: 12/20/2019

This is a free sample of the write up that 925 Sports does for each NBA DFS Slate we play during the season. We will typically play 4 times a week on average. Just playing the slates where we can find an edge in pricing. The write up below will be the main plays that we are going after on the slate.

The lineup in this write up, and the information below is subject to change. The lineup posted should be used as a tool to guide your lineup preferences. The lineup posted will most likely be changed before lineup lock and maybe after lineup lock as the news comes in.

The players posted below are the players that are most likely to hit or exceed their price point value.

Point Guard:

  • Kyle Lowry - $8,500: I do not love the price point for this play tonight, but Kyle Lowry would be almost a lock to go for 40 + tonight in this match up with all of the injuries the Raptors have tonight. VanVleet is a game time decision. If ValVleet does get ruled out I really love Lowry tonight. If VanVleet plays Lowry is just solid play that should still go for 40 DK points. In Lowry's last three games he is averaging 39 minutes and 46 DK points.

  • Chris Paul - $7,600: I really like the match up and the price for Chris Paul tonight. Even if he doesn't exceed value he should be able to hit value. In 7 straight games Paul has seen 35 or more DK points per game. He has went for 35, 60, 43, and 41 DK points in his last 4 games. I think he goes for 40 + tonight.

Shooting Guard:

  • Bruce Brown Jr - $5,100: I really do not love or really like any Shooting Guard on this slate, but if I had to choose just one I think right now it would be Bruce Brown. This is just in GPP's as well. But we saw Bruce Brown go off two and three games ago with Griffin Out in one, and Drummond out in both of them. With Kennard out as well I think he will see a slight usage bump. You could go with Rose as well.

Small Forward:

  • Hollis-Jefferson- $4,100: I love the price point tonight for RHJ tonight. RHJ has been a guy that can break a slate, and this is an exact spot tonight that he could do that. With Powell out, VanVleet Game-Time Decision, and Siakam out. RHJ should get 25 minutes. If he gets that many minutes he should get to 30 DK points. When he has seen over 25 minutes this season he is averaging 25 + DK points per game. If it isn't RHJ tonight for the Raptors it will be one of the value plays listed below.

Power Forward:

  • Serge Ibaka - $7,400: Siakam, and Gasol are both injured which lead to Ibaka actually having to get minutes again. If you look at what Ibaka has done this year he has been over a PPM player this whole year. Ibaka should get over 30 minutes in this game if he does he should get around 40 DK points. Last game he had 31 minutes and DK points.

  • Davis Bertans - $6,900: Do not love this play, but this game is so easy to stack tonight, and Bertans is going to see 35+ minutes. He has went for 40 plus in 3 of his last 6 games. With all of the injuries that Washington has tonight (Hachimura, Wagner, Bryant) Bertans isn't a bad GPP play.

  • K. Porzingis - $8,500: Porzingis is averaging 50 + DK points per game with Luka out now. His usage rate is well over 25 % in the games without Luka as well. Porzingis is a play I will go out of my way to get into my lineups tonight.

Centers:

  • Andre Drummond - $9,600: With Christian Wood, and Blake Griffin ruled out Drummond should have no problem getting to value tonight. In fact he should be able to get to around 60 DK points tonight. Drummond should be a starting point for your lineups today. If you're playing on Fanduel tonight Markief Morris is an easy play as he is a value play. Do not play him on DK however. Derrick Rose should also see a nice useage bump. I would only play Rose in a games stack. Drummond is the play here though.

  • Ian Mahinmi - $4,700: Mahinmi got into foul trouble last game which lead to Pasecniks getting 28 minutes. Hoping that Mahinmi can stay out of foul trouble tonight he could make for a great GPP play as he should see 25 minutes tonight. He has always been a PPM player so if he does get 25 minutes he should get over 25 DK points.

  • Steven Adams - $6,100: I do not get the price point of Adams lately, espcially tonight given the match up. He will be facing off against Kaminsky and Baynes tonight, both of which who should be able to dominate. In the last 10 games he is averaging well over 35 DK points per game, and that is with mixing in two 23 DK point nights. I really like Adams tonight, and I think he could potentially go for 50 DK points tonight.

Value Plays:

  • Brad Wanamaker: With Smart ruled out Wanamaker should get mid 20s for minutes tonight. If he does he could get to 20 + DK points tonight. Not a great value play but if we need to go there its not horrible.

  • Chris Boucher: He could get additional run tonight with the injuries to Gasol and to Siakam if Boucher were to even see around 18 minutes I would lock him in at this price point. In games that he has seen double digit minutes (4) he his averaging 1.25 PPM, or 20 DK points per game.

Core Plays: Andre Drummond, Porzingis, and Adams.

If/Then Statements:

If Delon Wright, and Seth Curry are ruled out Lock in Barea.

If the Knicks keep it close Julius Randle is to cheap.

if Towns is out: Then Dieng, and Wiggins become high exposure plays.

Can't Ignore Production:

Jalen Brunson 36 DK points in last three games with Luka out.

Brandon Ingram: I hate the price point tonight for Ingram, but the production does continue to be there.

Alec Burks: He just keeps scoring over 30 DK points. He is just too cheap.

Ricky Rubio: When games have stayed close Rubio has went off and has simply been to cheap.
