NBA DFS: 12/23/2019

This is a free sample of the write up that 925 Sports does for each NBA DFS Slate we play during the season. We will typically play 4 times a week on average. Just playing the slates where we can find an edge in pricing. The write up below will be the main plays that we are going after on the slate.

The lineup in this write up, and the information below is subject to change. The lineup posted should be used as a tool to guide your lineup preferences. The lineup posted will most likely be changed before lineup lock and maybe after lineup lock as the news comes in.

The players posted below are the players that are most likely to hit or exceed their price point value.

Point Guard:

  • Goran Dragic $5,600: Love the price point of Dragic tonight coming off of 3 straight 30 DK point performances. He has a solid chance to get to 30 + again tonight in a relatively soft match up.

  • De'Aaron Fox - $6,400: Was spot on with our Fox call on the last right up so I am dipping back to well tonight especially with the fact that he has a slight price decrease. He should get around 30 minutes. Which should mean that he gets over 30 DK points once again tonight. There are more PG's that I like on this slate however, and they are all basically equal. Read below in the "Other PG Plays I Really Like" Section.

Other PG Plays I Really Like: Damian Lillard is price where he should be, but for a guy that is an automatic 40 DK points on each night seems way too cheap for him. Ish Smith is another play I like. With the Wizard as banged up as they are Smith has been forced to get minutes. He had a horrible night shooting last game and still go the minutes. I think he will bounce back tonight. De"Angelo Russell, this is another play that seems too cheap. Sure he has been a little bit more hit or miss this year, but if the minutes are going to be in the 30s than Russell is in play, especially at this price point. Should note "DLoading" went for 80 DK points the last time against the TWolves. I will be playing him at SG tonight a lot.

Shooting Guard:

  • Bradley Beal - $9,300: We took advantage of Beal when he was priced down, but now he is price accordingly, or is he? The Wizards are very banged up tonight, and I think Beal's usage will be extremely high, plus tonight game is one that should stay close. Beal makes for a great starting point tonight for your lineups. He should easily get 50 DK points tonight.

Small Forward:

  • Kris Dunn - $5,000: Dunn has been getting a ton of minutes recently, averaging over 30 minutes in the past 4 games which has resulted in him getting over 25 DK points. We know that Dunn has extreme upside on any night, but if Lavine is ruled out tonight his upside is even greater tonight. I will say Troy Brown Jr for the Wizards is another SF play tonight that will get the minutes and should be safe. I just do not think he has the same amount of upside.

Power Forward:

  • Chris Boucher - $3,500: I was so mad I could not go back to the Chris Boucher play a few nights ago as when he went for 40 DK points. This is the upside that he has. All Boucher needs is the minutes. Hopefully the coach figured it out that Boucher needs the minutes. If he even gets 20 minutes he will be a lock to hit value. At this price given his upside he needs to be highly owned.

  • Dario Saric - $4,900: Saric ended up getting injured in his last game which was not nice for the lineups I had him in that. But with that he is still priced down, and still in a fine spot. If Saric scores 30 DK points it would not be surprising.

Centers:

  • Tristan Thompson: $6,300: We have plenty of fine Center plays, all that should hit value, and although I do not love TT tonight he should have a solid night. Over the past 3 nights he has had 30 DK points. He also has a great match up tonight which should help his DK point tonight.

  • Hassan Whiteside - $7,900: All over Whitesides's 60 DK night was nice which lead to some great GPP builds. Now Whiteside is priced down for some reason. Really like him as a play tonight again. He should get to 40DK points but has a great chance at 50 DK points again. Do not mind the idea of stacking Whiteside and Lillard together tonight as well. That stack should range for 80 - 110 DK points.

Value Plays:

  • Shabazz Napier: He hit for us last time out so might go back to the well tonight. Not a core value play tonight.

  • Elie Okobo: For some reason Okobo is one of my favorite basketball players, as I just like the way he plays the game, this is the biggest reason that I knew to get on him when Rubio was ruled out. If Rubio is out again tonight Okobo is another great play.

Core Plays: Boucher, Russell, Whiteside, Beal

If/Then Statements:

If Rubio is ruled out lock in Okobo.

If we get news on a Wizards value play below 4K then put them in the build.

If Towns misses again then play Dieng.

Can't Ignore Production:

RHJ (Hollis Jefferson): Fine Price point tonight for RHJ tonight continues to be solid.

Tomas Saturansky: He has been producing lately, and should continue too.

Kevin Love: Too cheap for the upside that he has.

Julius Randle: Been producing solid numbers lately, and is due for a big game.
