NFL DFS: Monday Night Football: Breakdown - Cash Lineup, Pivot Lineups, GPP Plays, and Values
We have an interesting game tonight between the Chiefs and the Broncos. Both teams are expected to be solid on defense, thus this slate is being presented as more of a grind it out type of game. I do think that we will see a kicker and/or DST in the winning lineup. The tough part about this slate is figuring out what to do with the Broncos, but this is also where the value is.

Game Preview
I think the value is in getting the DEN RB correct, and I think that RB will be JK Dobbins. I do think we want to get to 1 of the Broncos top pass catchers as well in Waddle or Sutton, the issue is that is very tough to do. Thus I have been ending up on Pat Bryant more. Bryant is a player that Sean Payton has been hyping up a bunch, and we will see if that leads to significant snaps. The Chiefs are properly priced, and given the matchup I do not really see any of them as must plays. The most appealing plays from a value standpoint are Thornton and rookie RB Emmett Johnson.
Core Plays
Core plays are the pieces I am prioritizing across builds. Not automatic locks in every lineup.
J.K. Dobbins — DEN — $6,400 — 29.8% owned
This is the running back I want to be on the most.
Projection is not pretty: 12.5 rush attempts, 50 rush yards, 1.5 catches, 3.5 receiving yards. He is not going to project out well on a raw-points board. That is fine. The appeal is script + price + captain math.
In a low-scoring game he is a realistic touchdown. At $6,400 he lets you still fit Mahomes or Nix plus Walker or Rice. That is the biggest reason he is in the captain conversation. If Denver is the team that wins this game, Dobbins is the player who gets the extra work at the end.
I will take him over RJ Harvey ($7,400, 15.2%) in the majority of builds. Harvey has more athletic juice if the split flips. Dobbins is the one projecting for the early-down / goal-line role tonight.
Kenneth Walker — KC — $10,600 — 45.9% owned
Brought in to be the focal point. Projection I am using: 16.5 rush attempts, 3.5 targets, ~20 opportunities. That is lock-in volume.
Camp was messy with the injury stuff, but he is good to go. Denver’s run defense is a problem, so you do need the touchdown. The consistency of the role is still the appeal. If Kansas City sits on a lead, Walker is the captain.
