If you enjoy this coverage make sure to show the youtube video listed below some love or if you're coming for twitter please like the tweet.

Saturday Afternoon Slate:

We have a decent amount of news that should help us make great lineups.

Just a call out the NFL Lineup Optimizer is available for PGA DFS members. (This is most likely going to change into just a 925 membership.)

Noteworthy News:

Bears: Starters are expected to play a full half

Browns: Starters will be play, Undetermined amount. Makes them hard to predict.

Eagles: Starters sitting

Bucs: Starters are playing including Brady.

Vikings: Starters sitting.

Quarterbacks:

Justin Fields - CHI - Mid Exposure:

Fields is going to play about a half of football and I think this is a direct result of the starting lineup not looking good at all last week, they need to get some live reps in together, and thats what this game is about. I do think Fields will have a good chance to score in this one, but he will be going against other starters, where we have some other QB plays that will have softer matchups against backups. I like Fields for stacks.

Skylar Thompson - MIA - High Exposure:

We have not received word on whether or not Tua and/or Teddy will play in this game, but Skylar Thompson is a young rookie who should get a lot of playing time in this game, to prove his case that the Phins should keep 3 QBs or even possibly trade Teddy. Last week Thompson only threw the ball 10 times but had 129 yards and a TD. He has looked sharp and if he gets more PT I think he will continue to produce fantasy wise.

Sam Howell - WAS - Low Exposure:

Howell has looked good enough this preseason and should get the 2nd half of this game to work. He has been throwing the ball a decent amount as well. He is someone that I will look for a little.

Tyler Huntley + Anthony Brown - BAL - High Exposure:

Both are going to firmly be in play today again as they both looked great again both throwing for a TD (Brown 2). The problem is that combined these two only threw the ball 27 times which is not a lot. They will need that efficiency to hit value again.

Trace McSorley - ARI - Stacks:

I believe that both McCoy and Murray will sit in this one which should mean that we will see a lot of McSorley again this week. He had a 1 yard TD last week as well as threw the ball 34 times for 0 TDS 2 INTs and 229 yards. A mixed bag performance but if he gets the playing time again he will be a solid play.

Josh Johnson and Brett Rypien - DEN - Low Exposure:

The problem with Johnson and Rypien is that we have better and safer QB plays ahead of them. Johnson really sucked last week against backups, but not he will be getting the second half only as Rypien will be getting the start. Now the Vikings are not playing their starters this week so Rypien and Johnson will both be going against backups but I sort of like Johnson more against a lot of none NFL players.

Running backs:

Darrynton Evans - CHI - Low Exposure:

If we get news that DM, Hebert, and Ebner are going to sit then Evans is a core play. Thankfully this is the first game so we should get this news. Ebner is most likely for sure OUT, and why would you rush DM, and Hebert if they aren't ready to go. At the very least Evans will play a lot in the second half of this game. He has looked good this preseason including last week where he had over 10 DK points. Tuggle is another RB that would benefit if the injury news breaks our way. He has ran well but as had many mental mistakes.

Kenneth Gainwell - PHI - Eagles:

Last week Eagles RBs had 43 rushes compared to just 26 passing attempts. This meant that all of their active RBs get enough carries to be productive, and Scott and Gainwell did that. The interesting thing is that Scott was the starter. So Gainwell might still have something to prove.

Tyler Baddie - BAL - Core Play:

Baddie is a lot like Britain as a play last night where we just keep rolling with them because the touches should continue to be there. The Ravens want to run the ball in the preseason and with Edwards, and Dobbins OUT, Mike Davis shouldn't play a lot. It also seems like McCary will be out in this one as he left last weeks game with an injury. There has been no new injury news on him since then so I assume he is old and that makes Baddie an even better option.

Hassan Haskins + Julius Chestnut - TEN - High Exposure:

The good thing about these two RBs is that they ran the ball 10 + times, and looked good going so. The bad thing is that neither of them scored. Both also caught two passes in this game. Both are going to be strong options once again in this game, it so just a guessing game as to which one will be the more productive one.

Ty Chandler - MIN - Low Exposure:

Chandler has looked good so far this preseason, and although I think the Vikings will "Spread the Love" again in this game, if they do not Chandler could get 9 touches for 35 yards and a TD. That would not be shocking to me.

Mike Boone - DEN - Mid Exposure:

Boone should get a lot of playing time in this one with Gordon and Williams OUT, Stevie Scott cut, and really only having Hardy, and Ozigbo to compete against. Hardy was signed on 8/10, and Ozigbo was signed 8/22 so it is tough to see really either of them getting much work.

Wide Receiver:

Darnell Mooney and Nsimba Webster - CHI - Stacks:

Mooney is clearly the #1 for this offense, and given that he is playing a full half we need to just play him in a few Justin Fields stacks that we will have. Webster is someone that stood out to me in film, but part of this was in the return game. He caught 4 passes for 25 yards. The playing time that he had last week should still be there for him again this week as the Bears are still banged up at this position.

I do think Cole Kmet at TE is interesting as well as part of a stack.

Devon Allen - PHI - Low Exposure:

Devon Allen made one big play TD, that is what he is as a play, a hope and pray, but it would not be shocking to see him hit another TD this week.

Erik Ezukanman - Braylon Sanders - MIA - High Exposure:

I hope that we do get news that the starters are not playing in this one so that we can fire up a Thompson Ez, and Sanders stack. We did this in week 1, and sadly in week 2 the playing time was tougher to predict, and we had a bigger slate so it did not make sense to chase these two. I say sadly because Sanders had 7 DK points and EZ (as I am calling him) had 6 receptions on 9 targets for 114 yards. Both are playing the phins have liked in camp so it is not a shock they did well. EZ had one of the best catches of the preseason a back should fade that he basically brought in with one arm. It was impressive.

I think it is worth noting that Hunter Long could play his way into Mike Gesicki being traded, at least those are the rumors.

Greg Dortch + Andy Isabella - ARI - Core Exposure:

Dortch and Isabella have been heavily targeted this preseason, I mean this offense has operated like a pour mans version of how this offense does in the regular season. Lot of quick short routes and Dortch and Isabella have benefitted from that. I think they will again in this game as the staters are not expected to play.

Kyle Phillips - TEN - Mid Exposure:

Phillips was open a lot last week, and was only targeted 4 times. He only had 1 catch for 11 yards. This is a lot due to both Willis and Woodside somewhat struggling throwing the ball. Phillips has been getting a lot of hype out of camp, and it just seems like he is due for a big week.

Dezmon Patmon - IND - Low Exposure:

What makes Patmon a good play is really that the QBs for the Colts have looked sharp, and he benefited from that last week. He had 6 targets 5 rec and 103 yards. Patmon is good, but nothing that gets me too excited. Mike Strachan is actually someone that has looked good but only had 3 targets last week. Still he scored a TD.

Tight End:

Armani Rogers - WAS - Mid Exposure:

Rogers should get a decent amount of playing time in this game with the TEs still being banged up, after a strong week 1 he only had 1 target last week. Still was able to score 2.5 DK points which I will take out of a TE.

Isaiah Likely - BAL - Core Play:

WHAT A CALL LAST WEEK! Our top TE play on the slate ended up being one of the top plays on the whole week. He had 8 rec for 100 yards and a TD. It seems like he could be inline to do that again as he is currently the TE3 so the playing time should be safe.

Saturday Morning Slate:

We have a decent amount of news that should help us make great lineups.

Just a call out the NFL Lineup Optimizer is available for PGA DFS members. (This is most likely going to change into just a 925 membership.)

Noteworthy News:

Jaguars: Starters not playing.

Falcons: Starters are expected to play (means play Falcons D vs Jags backup)

Rams: Starters sitting

Bengals: TBD (Starters sitting most likely)

Quarterbacks:

EJ Perry - JAX - High Exposure:

The starters for the Jags are not playing in this one, and the Jags only have three active QBs on their roster. That means that it could be CJ Beathard for a half, and EJ Perry for a half. There is some speculation that the Jags who have already played 3 preseason games might just use Perry for most of the game. They did do this is the Hall of Fame game earlier this preseason why Jake Luton, and Kyle Sloter both played half as the QB3 and QB4. We can see this QB room has had a lot of movement on the bottom half of it. So it is yet to be seen exactly what Perry can be as a QB.

Desmond Ridder - ATL - Low Exposure:

Ridder should get a majority of the snaps in this one. Back-up QB Feleipe Franks came in for a little bit during the game but all he can do is run the ball, they are have seen that Franks is not good enough to make an NFL roster. Why not give your rookie QB at least a full half. I think that is precisely what we will see.

Bryce Perkins - LAR - Core Play:

We know the starters are not playing for the Rams, but backup QB John Wolford had a finger nail ripped off. That just sounds so painful! I think that Wolford will not play, and even if he does Perkins would still be the QB play that I wanted to target the most. He has been very solid this preseason and last preseason I fully expect him to do well tonight.

Running backs:

Mekhi Sargent - JAX - High Exposure:

The Jaguars starters are not going to sit in this one, James Robinson is already out, and Snoop Conner has already proven himself to this coaching staff which means Sargent and Armstead should get a lot of work in this one. I think we will see Snoop Conner start play a series or two then we will see a mix of Sargent and Armstead. In the HOFG Sargent had 10 touches for 9.9 DK points. I think he could easily do that again in this one. Armstead is worth a look as well.

Kyren Williams + Trey Ragas - LAR - High Exposure:

The Rams are only going to have 3 active RBs for this game Jake Funk (and he could sit), Kyren Williams and Trey Ragas. The Rams will look to get some film on him as this is going to be his first preseason game played. After that I think that Ragas will do a majority of the work in the second half.

Trayveon Williams - CIN - Low Exposure:

Having a tough time gauging the Bengals, Chris Evans will play a little bit most likely and he can certainly make a big play. Jacques Patrick could easily fall into the endzone again, but I like Trayveon Williams the most. He had 9 carries for 28 yards and a TD. Due to the uncertainty here known of them are plays that I love.

Wide Receiver:

Jeff Cotton Jr, and Tim Jones - Jax - Stacks:

Although the targets have not really been there, and the targets will most likely be bad targets today from Perry, Cotton, and Jones will most likely play the most snaps as they did last week among the backups that are expected to play. Tim Jones had 6 targets for 5 receptions and 70 yards. Both should be safe plays.

Jared Bernhardt - ATL - Mid Exposure:

In their first preseason game Bernhardt made the game-winning catch in the endzone, that was his only play, and he really did not stand out at all. I wouldn't even say he really stood out last game either but he did have 3 targets and 9.7 DK points. The coaching staff clearly likes him, and want to see if he has what it take to make the roster.

Lance Mccutcheon + Austin Trammel - LAR - Core Plays:

Both WRs have looked good, and both WRs continue to produce. McCutheon is the one that everyone is going to be on today, and he will probably be the highest owned played on the slate at the WR position. But Trammell has looked good as well scoring 8.6 DK points last week.

Kendric Pryor - CIN - Core Play:

Pryor had a very eye popping game in week one, and followed it up with a solid game in week 2 scoring 6.8 DK points on 6 targets. He should be someone that gets targeted a lot again in this game. Fellow Bengals WR Kwamie Lassiter is firmly in play as well. He was the player that saw 7 targets and scored 16.1 DK points. The problem is they were all somewhat "easy" plays to make he was just the one there to make them, which is why I still prefer Pryor.

Tight End:

Dan Arnold - Jax - Stack:

Not sure we have to play a Jags TE, but if you wanted to Dan Arnold would be that one for me. He played a decent amount of snaps last week, having 4.2 DK points. Need to confirm whether or not he will be active.

Brycen Hopkins - LAR - Core Play:

Hopkins is the TE play that I like the most tonight, he had 10 DK points last week on 6 targets. He should be inline for that same amount of work tonight.

I do want to note that Jacob Harris is another solid TE play for the Rams. He had 6.4 DK points last week on 7 targets. If you're playing Perkins at QB I would suggest you play one of these two will him.
