NFL DFS Week 7 MNF Showdown: COWBOYS VS EAGLES

8 min read

44 total. Cowboys -4.5. Dallas implied 24.25. Eagles implied 19.75. The chalk is Dak 71%, Lamb 67%, Javonte 67%, McKee 44%, Barkley 35%, Aubrey 34%, Pickens 31%.

Eagles are without Jalen Hurts, DeVonta Smith, and Dontayvion Wicks. Tanner McKee starts. Saquon Barkley is expected back, but the snap count is the question. He is a captain-only play. If he is limited or out, Dameon Pierce is the back. He did not leave the field last week. Makai Lemon had the bulk of the snaps last week at 85-90% with 6 targets for 34 yards. Darius Cooper is the other Eagles receiver with breakout potential. He had 85-90% snaps previously and 61% last week with a low target share. Elijah Moore is expected to see more snaps if the Eagles are behind. He saw about 50% snaps in 11 personnel last week. Goedert is the Eagles core. He had 6 receptions the last two weeks and is the top pass catcher. Cash leans 4 Cowboys and 2 Eagles. Cap Lamb or Dak. Dak captain needs two Cowboys pass catchers. Lamb is the one to keep. Pickens or Flournoy is the second. McKee captain needs two Eagles pass catchers. Goedert is the one to keep. Lemon or Cooper is the second. Get to one kicker or one defense. Do not captain a kicker or a defense. $48,000 floor.

The game script leans Dallas. If the Cowboys are ahead, Javonte becomes the captain. If the Eagles are behind, McKee has to throw. He threw 45 times last week. Dallas allows about 2 passing touchdowns per game. The Eagles give up 254 passing yards per game to quarterbacks. That is a top-10 easiest matchup. Dak had 258, 316, and 335 the last three weeks. Lamb had 18 targets, 9 receptions, 70 yards, and 33% target share last week. Pickens had 11 targets, 6 catches, 73 yards, and 20% target share. Both are due. Flournoy is the third option. He is open often. Javonte was underutilized last week with 11 carries against the Packers. Expect an overcorrection. He is overweight as a captain and underweight in the flex. The Cowboys are in a lot of 11 personnel. Ferguson was at 53% snaps. The backup tight end was at 40% with 5 targets. Stay away from both. The Eagles give up production to receivers. That is the matchup to attack. Lamb and Pickens both draw favorable volume. Goedert is the one Eagles pass catcher to force. Lemon and Cooper are the values if you need salary. Barkley is a captain-only play because the snap count is uncertain. If he is limited, the receiving work is the path. If he is out, Pierce is the back.

Game Preview

Captain

CeeDee Lamb, DAL — $16,500 CPT / $11,000 FLEX | 25.9 CPT, 16.7 FLEX | 67% own (First CPT)

First captain. Highest Cowboys projection. Eagles give up about 22 targets, 13 receptions, 182 yards, and 1.2 touchdowns to receivers per game. He had 18 targets, 9 receptions, 70 yards, and 33% target share last week. 80-89% snaps. 91% routes. 167 air yards. Cap him. He is 67%. The volume is there. The matchup is there. He is the one to keep with Dak.

Dak Prescott, DAL — $15,600 CPT / $10,400 FLEX | 24.3 CPT, 16.2 FLEX | 71% own (Core CPT)

Other chalk captain. Needs two Cowboys pass catchers. Lamb is the one to keep. Pickens or Flournoy is the second. You can run three pass catchers with him. He had 258 against the Packers, 316 against the Bucs, and 335 against the Texans. Eagles allow 254 passing yards per game. He is expected to throw 2 touchdowns. The volume is there. The matchup is there.

George Pickens, DAL — $13,500 CPT / $9,000 FLEX | 17.3 CPT, 11.5 FLEX | 31% own (Favorite CPT)

Favorite captain. Due for a big game. 11, 8, and 6 targets the last three weeks. He had 11 targets, 6 catches, 73 yards, and 20% target share last week. 89% snaps. 82% routes. 120 air yards. He has only had one dud this season. Pair him with Dak and Lamb. The volume is there. The matchup is there. He is the one to prioritize if you want to get off Lamb.

Javonte Williams, DAL — $15,900 CPT / $10,600 FLEX | 26.8 CPT, 17.8 FLEX | 67% own (High)

Cowboys back. Captain if you think Dallas wins by more than 4.5. He was underutilized last week with 11 carries against the Packers. Expect an overcorrection. Underweight in the flex. Overweight as a captain. The path is the lead. If Dallas is ahead, he is the back. If Dallas is behind, he is less appealing.
