Below you will see the top outright bets this week.
Abraham Ancer - 16/1: Ancer at this price point is a play that I feel like we just need to be on. I mentioned how good drive % is a key stat this week, well he ranks top 5 in that. The only worry with him is that he really has not been scoring much this season. Prior to his missed cut at the Shriners Ancer had been on a great run at the tail end of last season. So that seems like it was more of a stress free missed cut. A week to decompress basically which is normal early in the season. Ancer has 4 made cuts at this course including 3 top 12 finishes. He ranks out as the 4th best play this week.
Aaron Wise - 60/1: A perfect example of a player mentally resetting at the start of the new PGA season would be Aaron Wise. Wise has been great this season making all 3 cuts and having two top 10 finishes, and all of them have been top 25 finishes. Wise has finished 2nd, MC, 10th, MC at this event. He is the 7th best stat fit in the field (using 2022 data). He ranks out as a top 10 play this week. Just based on the recent form, and the course history we can see the upside is there with him this week.
Billy Horschel - 30/1: Billy Ho is coming off of a win a few starts ago on the Euro Tour. Billy Ho has finished 5th, 8th, and 21st here the last 3 years. He has made 5 straight cuts in a row on tour, and is the 2nd best play in the 925 model this week. All in all he makes for a better outright bet than he does a DFS play. I also feel the same about Tyrell Hatton
