OUTRIGHT BETS
Sam Burns 12/1: One thing that DK has gotten a lot better at over the years is pricing the top player correctly because for years they would put name value over an actual good play. Well this week Burns is the highest priced player and he is an actual good play. He finished 7th at this course last year so if you were just to look at that, and not the comp course history he would be the top ranked player on the slate. Burns is the 2nd best stat fit in the field and the is in the 2nd best recent form out of anyone in the field. He has been on a great roll this season thus far and this could be a week in which he gets a win.
Talor Gooch 22/1: So the reason that Gooch is an outright bet this week is his strong recent form, and his strong stat fit. He has been pretty elite recently so you tack on two top 5 finishes here, and at a comp course and he is highly appealing. Gooch is also a top 5 stat fit in the field.
Aaron Wise 30/1: So if I make Gooch a outright bet well I feel like I have to make Wise a core play as well. Wise is a slightly worse stat fit but he does rank a little better in ESCR which tells me that he has been more consistent. Wise finished 11th at this event last year and is a player that is also checking all the boxes this week.
Maverick McNealy - 40/1: The data, and myself think that McNealy is the stand out value on this slate. McNealy finished 20th at this event last year, and has been on a tear recently finishing 11th, 25th, and 38th over his past few starts on tour. Prior to his missed cut earlier this season he had finished 2nd which now seems like a "hangover" missed cut. He has been playing well and as the 3rd best pick this week it will be tough to pass p on him as a play.
