PGA DFS - PGA CHAMPIONSHIP

Updated: Aug 5, 2020

After nailing the free write up for you guys last week with a top 10 finish from both Daniel Berger and Chez Reavie, with Rickie Fowler making a splash at the title up until Sunday. We look to continue that into this week where we have the first (and only) major of the year. It will play difficult with windy conditions, making it harder to predict, but that means you can really win big in a week like this.

In the free write up we provide a top play at each pricing tier. For a bigger breakdown of the event, this week click the "Join 925 Nation" Button. It's the best value in PGA DFS in the industry. There you will get our full writeup, player pool, Core Plays, Cash/GPP plays, and our Model Rankings. It's only $10 a month. Compared to other Membership sites out there this is on average 80% cheaper. Paying less for easy advice, better plays, better results, at the best value.

TOP PLAYS THIS WEEK

High Tier:

Xander: Xander should play well this week, the only worry we have with him is getting off to a slow start which could lead to a missed cut on the number. But if he does make the cut he has a great chance to win this week. He is a top 10 stat fit, has played really well in the comp. courses, and is in great recent form. All signs are pointing towards Xander having a top 10 finish or better this week.

Mid Tier:

Tyrrell Hatton: Really the only true let down last week, which could be a blessing this week. Hatton is a great player in the wind, and has made 15 straight cuts. I am penciling last week as an off week / looking ahead to this week. Which would be great because now we get him at 8K! He is a top 10 stat fit who is checking all the boxes. Comp Course History, Current Form, and Stat Fit. Do not be surprised if Hatton wins this week!

Low Tier:

Abraham Ancer: Ancer is another player checking all the boxes this week with 15/17 made cuts on the season including 13 straight. Ancer finished T49 at last year's US Open, and 16th at the PGA Championship last year. He is a top 20 stat fit as well. Ancher is simply checking all the boxes. Oh and he ranks out 9th in Bogey Avoidance, on top of that he is a top 50 wind player.

Value Tier:

Nick Taylor: Taylor is a quality play for his price point. To get a project made cut at 6.3 in a major is absolutely crazy! Taylor finished 43 at the US Open last year, and he is a top 14 stat fit. Over his last 10 starts, he has made the cut in 6 of them, but 2 of them were a missed cut on the number, and the most recent was a choke job (the memorial). Taylor gives you a great opportunity to pay up for a stud, and have a slightly better chance of getting 6/6 across the cut line.
