US Open Fantasy Golf Deep Dive, Core Plays, Outright Bets, Lineup Process, Ownership Leverage

Well the RBC Canadian Open was looking to be a sleepy week in PGA DFS, that is until the news of the PGA/LIV merger. The question I have for this week is will that make players more motivated to play well, less motivated to play well, or will it be the already random week that it was looking like.

The Memorial Tournament is looking like a pretty solid week, and it will be the first week for PGA DFS that I feel way better about going with a Fair and Balanced build compared to a Studs and Duds build. That is because this week the 8K range is loaded with quality options, and the roster of the field is properly priced. To me we have a TON of shoulder shrug plays, and that is the most difficult part.

We have the Charles Schwab Challenge this week which to me is looking like a strange week due to the pricing.

The PGA Championship is here, which to me is the best or second-best fantasy golf week we get all year. That is because the field is deep with talent, thus we know that there are going to be a lot of great value plays and bets that we can make this week.

This week we have the AT&T Byron Nelson, a tournament that is looking like it will be a very interesting week for fantasy golf.

Wells Fargo Championship week is here, and to me this looks like the first tournament in a while in which DK, is going to make us work for it. The pricing is seemingly really good this week, sure there are a few missed-priced golfers, but for the most part the pricing is tight.

Mexico Open week is looking like it could be a sneaky good week. This is due to us having two clear-cut elite plays, that are sneaky easy to fit into a build. I am looking forward to this tournament, that is also because it is a pretty straightforward week with who we should be one.

We have the Zurich Classic which is a team-based event where the top 33 teams (and ties) will make the cut. It will be a tough but also easy week in DFS and Fantasy Golf. What I mean by that is this week we see a lot of random results. At the same time it is somewhat easy to see which teams where should be on. It is just a matter of whether or not those teams play well or how well they do play. Should be a fun week.

The RBC Heritage is one of my favorite courses on the PGA Tour rotation, and this year it will be getting a great field as it is an "Elevated Event:" The biggest early concern that I have about this week is the potential burnout for golfers. An example of that could be using the Dell Technologies Match Play Tournament. All the golfers that made good runs, there and had good starts at the Masters faded, while the one golfer that didn't do too hot there Jon Rahm ended up pullin

The 2023 Masters is here, and although we all love the spectacle that is The Masters it is a very tilting week in fantasy golf. It is a week that given the soft pricing, and the number of casuals that we want to attack, on the flip side this tournament given the size of the field, and the 20 or so players that we know have basically 0 shot of playing well that this tournament will essentially play out as a no-cut event. The Valero Texas Open is stuffed in between last week's two events, and next week's event The Masters. With that it typically does not draw the best field, thus we tend to see more random results in terms of winners. This week I could see that being the case, but I think almost every golf fan is cheering for Rickie Fowler to win this week so that he can make the Masters. That comes with Rickie playing some great golf, and coming in as the top pick this week.

Well we are off to a pretty PURE start for the WGC Match Play, and let's hope that can continue into the Corales, which is looking like a pretty strong opportunity this week.

This week we have the Dell Technologies Match Play Tournament which is one of those fun but tedious weeks in PGA DFS. Thankfully we will also have the Corales Championship for those more traditional PGA DFS players (This will be a separate writeup).

The Florida swing will be coming to an end this week with the Valspar Championship. This is typically a tournament that is difficult. In a way all the courses on the Florida swing somewhat play the same. Golfers need to be limiting the number of mistakes that they are making and they will be successful. If the weather is bad this could easily play as the most difficult tournament of the season. It is a fun tournament, and we have a decent field this week that will make it mor
